Grade level: High School, College, and above

Python 101 is a four-week course designed to guide students through the fundamentals of storing, manipulating, and analyzing data using the Python programming language. Python is a general purpose programming language that is becoming increasingly popular with not only experts in data science, but also analysts across countless industries, including engineering, finance, social science research, and more. The course is designed for beginners, and no prior coding experience is required! The course will consist of four modules: Variables & Data Types, Lists, Functions & Packages, and NumPy. There will be several practice assignments for each module and a final project overall.

Material Requirements: For this course, students will need to download Python, which is free of charge. The instructor will lead students through download on the first day of class.
