A graduate of Manhattan College with a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Bill currently teaches mathematics at Byram Hills High School where he has taught for 20 of his 26 years teaching. Bill teaches AP Calculus, AP Statistics and all levels of mathematics leading up to those advanced courses. For the past 18 years, Bill has tutored students in the Westchester/Connecticut area in SAT/ACT and other mathematics coursework. Bill has helped develop curriculum and learning strategies that will support students throughout their high school careers and beyond. His commitment to lifelong learning also includes his service as New Teacher Mentor Coordinator at Byram Hills and work with the University of Michigan in conjunction with the Island School in Eleuthera, Bahamas to develop lessons and units of study focused on meaningful experiential learning.
Athletics have played an important role in Bill’s teacher-coach style of teaching. Bill’s background includes serving as Captain of the Manhattan College Rugby Team, coaching Fordham University to two Met-NY Division 1 titles, and years of success coaching high school level soccer and baseball teams. Bill enjoys working to bring out each student’s individual best by integrating experiential lessons learned from the athletic field into his teaching.
Bill lives with his wife and two children and in his spare time enjoys listening to history podcasts, golfing, and rooting on the Giants and Rangers.
