Description
Josh Blum holds English degrees from Amherst College and New York University.
Josh spent thirty-three years teaching English at Hastings High School, during which time he taught almost every course the department offered and served as department chair for eight years. He has always loved helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to be successful, and working with Carnegie Prep has been an ideal next step in his teaching career. He teaches SAT classes and tutors students privately in SAT and ACT prep, as well as academic and college essay writing.
An avid cyclist, Josh has been active in cycling-based charities for fifteen years. He is currently a board member of the Breakthrough Challenge, a ride that funds research at the University of Pennsylvania’s Abramson Cancer Center.
Josh and his wife live in South Salem, NY, where they raised their three children.

The in-person SAT Bootcamp is designed for rising juniors as well as rising seniors who are looking to increase their scores. This bootcamp includes four classes, one timed practice SAT, and one optional extra help session.
